Brand Story
This brand was started by Brandon, an young Asian American gentleman who grew up in a traditional household. He loves waking up to the sweet scent of his grandma's baking every morning. His grandma always packs him, his favorites home-made cookies into a traditional bento box for him. As time went by he decided to shared his grandma's secret cookies with the world, called Bento Box Cookies.

Floral Pattern Design:
My goals for this project was to create a total of 4 different designs, branching from one theme. Going with a floral concept and I decided that my attributes were going to include:
• Vintage
• Hand-made
• Feminine
• Comfortable
For color choices, I decided on soft pastel colors to illuminate the old vintage vibe. Some challenges that I overcame was the placement of the technical design itself, because it needed to be easily replicated.

Asian / Western Fusion Calendar:
Ever thought, what would it be like if both Asian and western culture were to clash and fuse with one another? There is a total of 12 months in a year, 12 Zodiac animal and the 12 Horoscopes. By using my unique calendar people would be able to understand which horoscope they are born as and what animal zodiac they're born into. In each month there will be a fortune provided for the user base on the month and zodiac animal you are. I included illustrations designs of constellation and zodiac animals in vector forms, to keep the designs consistent and simple.

Hmong Student Association's
Button Collection Designs:
I was given the opportunity to create buttons for the Hmong Student Association student group at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Visually, I created playful illustrations to signify the time of youth and passion conveyed by the student's emotions. I also incorporated symbols of the Hmong culture into the designs.

Since the designs were meant for a student organization, I kept the visual welcoming and engaging. By utilizing the Hmong literature and artwork, I can showcase the true authenticity background of the student group.

Duros Nacho Cheese:
Nacho Duros are Mexican-style puffed snacks that are packed with a unique blend of nacho cheese, the perfect combination for an addictive snack that’s bursting with flavor. With a delicate balance of light and airy crunchiness along with the mild kick of nacho cheese and chili spices, these crave-worthy snacks feature a distinctive taste and texture that will keep you coming back for more!

I used super bright and vibrant color to depict the explosive flavors of the Duros Nacho Cheese. I tried to capture the festive vibe by incorporating lots of illustrations and created vector of ingredients that was use to make the duros. By staying away from realistic photography I was able to better capture playful aspect of the brand itself and convey it's story to the consumers. The client was thrilled with the overall look!
